Vista х86 home premium + Sou ndMax
Under winxp it appears to be using an integraded soundmax sound card. I'm looking for the sound card drivers. I'm running os/2 warp 4 with fixpack 15. Any help/info would be appreciated. Soundmax integrated audio on this Thinkpad A31 works perfectly with the driver from Thinkpad (now Lenovo) site.

It appears that your only option is to check periodically for updated SoundMAX drivers that will provide this functionality. However, the SoundMax volume sliders do not change at all when such an app is running. Have others noticed this volume disparity? Is there a way to disable it? XP Pro SP2, latest updates; latest SoundMax audio drivers from Intel (5.12.01.5240). My other PCs (non-Intel mobo/sound) don't have this problem.

problem I have is that some games are looking for a SB16-compatable stereo sound card and apparently the SoundMAX (by Analogue Devices, Inc.) is not SB16-compatable. Can the SoundMAX be configured to simulate the SB16 or are there updated driver which enable compatibility with SB16? Thank you.
