I have a SoundMAX chip on my Intel board. I'm installing a piece of software (Flight simulator) and it suggested updating both the video and sound drivers. I've updated the video successfully.. but, when I went to SoundMax it told me to go to Intel.. as it was on an Intel board. Ok.. go to Intel.. but I can't find

Game doesn't work after MS update
So I reinstalled SOUNDMAX from the Dell DRIVERS disk. Zip, Nada, Nyet, No, Goose Egg, Nein, ! No sound Volume icon in systray. Yup, I restarted when finished loading SoundMax. The SoundMAX installation program then came up and installed the XP sound drivers. My M320 is working great with sound and all. To those having sound issues, you might want to try this. You should also be able to get other software that ran on XP to work with Vista. I had the same issue with Cyberlink Power 2 Go.
